Next week sees the annual student Environment week. It starts with a bang on Saturday 25 April, with Environmental Rock 09 at the Hobbit Pub, Bevois Valley. This is a free community event combining Live Music and Environmental Awareness.The Event runs from 12pm to 6pm . This is a fantastic event including:

– Live music throughout the day from local bands

– Stalls from over 20 Environmental Organisations

– Morris Dancing

– Face Painting and Children’s Activities

– Organic and Local Drinks

– BBQ

– Freebies including chocolate, stationary and bath bombs

– Pub Games

– Raffle

The following week will see our students put on a series of events as part of Environment Week to promote environmental awareness. To support the initiative, the University’s Environment Manager will be on hand during Thursday 30 April outside the SU to answer any questions you may have about what the University is doing to reduce its environmental footprint. He?will?also be more than happy to hear ideas for improving our environmental performance.

In addition, as part of Environment Week, the Reward Team will be in the Staff Social Centre from 11am to 3pm on 30 April to promote the University’s Cycle to Work Scheme.
