The Institute of Sound and Vibration Research is conducting an aircraft simulation study investigating the effects of noise? vibration and temperature in aircraft cabins on passenger comfort and fatigue.
Participants are paid ?80 to attend one laboratory session during which they complete questionnaires and computer–based performance tests during a 6.5–hour ‘flight’. Participants may watch films, read, work or relax during the ‘flight’. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
If you are aged 50-79 years and would like to experience the motion, sound and thermal conditions in an aircraft cabin, you can apply to participate online at
