The Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering are pleased to announce that Professor John McCanny, Director of the Institute of Electronics Communications and Information Technology (ECIT), Queens University Belfast, will be visiting BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 to give a Lecture.

Professor McCanny will give a talk entitled ‘Successful translation of Academic Research into wider Economic Impact’, at 17.00 on 10?June??in the Nightingale Lecture Theatre, Building 67, Highfield Campus.

Professor McCanny?is an international authority on special purpose silicon architectures for Digital Signal and Video Processing and Cryptography. His many honours and awards include a CBE, the IET’s Faraday medal and the Royal Irish Academy’s Cunningham medal. He is also the Principal Investigator at the ?30M Centre for Secure Information Technology (CSIT), which is based at ECIT.
