Nine students represented England in the fourth Roll Ball World Cup in Dhaka, Bangladesh, last month.

Roll ball is a new sport combining basketball and handball?that is played on inline skates. A player must dribble the ball, while carrying it, and the team who scores the most goals wins. The sport was invented by Raju Dabhade of Pune City, India. Although the sport is?only 14 years old, its?growing rapidly.

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, attended the closing ceremony of the competition, where 700 players came together from over 40 countries.

The women’s team had an outstanding performance, making it all the way to the quarter finals. In the end, India were crowned the winners in both the men’s and women’s category.
