Throughout March, Health and Safety, in conjunction with Sport and Wellbeing, will be running a?series of events as part of a ‘Women’s Health Matters’ campaign.
NHS research demonstrates that women tend go to the doctor more often than men. This difference is partly due to the complex nature of gynaecological health.
The aim of this campaign is to raise awareness about women’s health issues, as well as?to encourage them to take advantage of screening and participate in activities to improve?their physical and mental wellbeing.

All the talks, apart from the workshop, are being filmed and will be available on SUSSED after the event.
For the month of March, Sport and Wellbeing are offering free?Women’s Health and Fitness checks for women aged 40+.? This is for up to 100 participants.
A 1-hour appointment will cover various fitness tests to determine strength, flexibility, body fat, blood pressure and lung capacity. Bookings can be made up until 19 March by emailing:?J.Harvey@soton.ac.uk.
All women who have a free Women’s Health and Fitness check will also be entered into a prize draw to win an Amazon??50.00?voucher kindly donated by Computershare who run the University’s current Childcare Voucher Scheme.
