International Open Access Week?is 23-29 October. The year’s theme is ‘Community over Commercialisation’ which focuses on the benefit of community activities in combating the negative sides of commercialisation?in scholarly communications, for example, publicly funded research and knowledge being behind paywalls or excessive fees?being charged to publish open access.?

In keeping with the theme,?the Library?is?launching a new Community of Practice?focusing on the development of a University Press – as part of a Strategic Major Project.??The University Press Community of Practice (UP CoP) is open to staff and Post graduate students, we would especially like to hear from?members of the University community already engaged?in scholarly communication publishing activities under the banner of the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载.
