University Mental Health Day 2025 : Where to find support

Today is University Mental Health Day, an annual day to promote conversations about student mental health. We’re using it as an opportunity to share the support available to you, all year round.

If you’re ever unsure of where to start, The Student Hub is your first point of contact for wellbeing support 24/7 via?online chat, email, or telephone?023 8059 9599.

Watch the video below to find out more about our Student Wellbeing Service at The Student Hub, and keep reading to learn about the A-Z of Wellbeing Resources, Wellbeing Chats, and Wellbeing Practitioner Appointments.

For the full list of support, visit the Student Wellbeing site.

A-Z of Wellbeing Resources

The Student Wellbeing team’s A-Z of Wellbeing Resources is a bank of trustworthy, reputable and reliable resources that can supplement your wellbeing. From activity ideas to boost your mood, to dealing with uncertainty, it is a good place to educate yourself on healthy habits.

If you do find yourself struggling with your wellbeing, or are struggling to maintain healthy habits, we recommend visiting The Student Hub for a Wellbeing Chat, which we detail below.

Wellbeing Chats

Wellbeing Chats are informal 1-1 meetings with our Wellbeing Advisors. The team can provide support for a range of different situations, whether you need general guidance about university life or are facing specific challenges with your wellbeing.

These chats aim to help you embrace your time at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 to the fullest, and to be successful in your studies.

If your situation is more nuanced, you may be referred for a Wellbeing Practitioner Appointment for more specialised support.

Wellbeing Practitioner Appointments

After a Wellbeing Chat, you may be referred for a Wellbeing Practitioner Appointment. These appointments aim to help students who find themselves dealing with more specific difficulties.

During your appointment, a member of the Student Wellbeing team will give you all the time you need to talk and will aim to find you the most appropriate specialist support for your situation.

Appointments usually last around 45 minutes and are held either on Microsoft Teams or in a private room on campus.

Both Wellbeing Chats and Wellbeing Practitioner Appointments are accessed via The Student Hub, which is available 24/7 via?online chat, email, or telephone?023 8059 9599.

Helping others

You can also contact The Student Hub if you are worried about another student. We’ll reach out to them and offer the most appropriate support without using your name. For more guidance on helping others, visit the Student Wellbeing site.
