What are the Staff and PGR Networks?

BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 networks provide safe and supportive spaces where staff and postgraduate research (PGR) students can share experiences, advocate for change, and celebrate diversity. Each network focuses on a particular aspect of identity or experience:

  • Disability & Neurodivergence Network – Creating an environment where disabled and neurodivergent staff and PGR students feel supported, valued, and empowered.
  • Women’s Network – A vibrant and supportive community for staff and PGR students who identify as women. This network provides a safe space to connect, share experiences, and discuss ideas, needs, and concerns. Through networking, events, and advocacy, members are empowered to reach their full potential and influence positive change. The network also works to amplify women’s voices, celebrate achievements, and drive inclusivity within the University.
  • Pulse LGBTQ+ Network – Fostering an inclusive workplace where LGBTQ+ staff and PGR students feel valued and supported to reach their full potential.
  • Reach Network – Committed to raising awareness of and promoting race equality and cultural diversity, this network provides a safe and supportive space for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic staff and PGR students. The Reach Network Committee focuses on three key workstreams: ‘Influence & Challenge,’ ‘Connect, Engage & Celebrate,’ and ‘Communications & Operations.’ Members work to challenge race inequality, celebrate cultural heritage, and promote an inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Social Mobility Network – A space for individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and support one another. Unlike other networks, undergraduate students are also welcome to join.
  • Parents and Carers Network – Supporting staff and PGR students balancing work and caring responsibilities, including parenting and providing care for a loved one.
  • Faith Network – The Faith Network is open to staff and PGR students of all faiths and provides a welcoming space to meet, share experiences, and practice their beliefs. We encourage participation from individuals of all religious backgrounds to help shape an inclusive and representative community.
