Are you developing a device for the health sector? Are you unsure what the risk classification of your medical device is according to the Medical Device Regulations? The Research Ethics and Governance team (part of RIS) are hosting an event to help you in your journey.
Colleagues working in the areas of medical devices and digital health solutions are invited to join a free online interactive workshop led by RegMetrics on medical device regulations on Thursday 8 May 10:00-12:00.
This workshop is suitable for academics working on medical devices technologies, and professional services staff supporting them.? The workshop is designed to support researchers in understanding the regulatory landscape for medical devices and software in the following ways:
- Identify if their device / digital health solution is a medical device.
- Classify a medical device according to the Medical Device Regulation (EU) risk levels.
- Identify the requirements that medical devices need to conform to
- Strengthen your funding proposal by incorporating regulatory considerations
RegMetrics are currently supporting the University of Oxford, UCL and the University of Birmingham (and other universities) in providing education on medical device regulations. RegMetrics is a spinout of the University of Oxford, dedicated to simplifying medical device regulations for academics. The software platform empowers researchers to make informed decisions and streamlines the regulatory process.
