To have climbed three places to be ranked 17th is an achievement of real note given the competition in the sector. “To rank second in the southeast grouping is a fantastic achievement for the University. These rankings build on our reputation as one of the top 100 universities in the world, as recognised by the QS World University Rankings.”

The league table is based on ten measures: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, academic services spend, spending on student facilities, continuation, student-staff ratio, graduate prospects – outcomes, and graduate prospects – on track. It includes 130 institutions.
