Prepare your Blackboard Ultra modules this summer

With the summer fast approaching, many teams will be planning for the next academic year and it’s the ideal time for colleagues to start preparing modules for 2025/26.?

There is support from The Blackboard Ultra Migration Project team including set-up guides to get you started:???

  1. Checking your module enrolment information – this includes confirming your role, enrolling additional staff members and personalising your course.?
  1. Preparing your course content – this includes how to prepare teaching content whether you are migrating from Blackboard Original to Ultra for the first time, rolling over content in Ultra or creating new content.?
  1. Reviewing course content – this includes using tools such as Blackboard Ally to improve accessibility, batch releasing content and engaging with students once courses are ready.?

Please remember, as part of the third and final migration to Blackboard Ultra, all remaining modules will need to be on the platform ready for the next academic year (2025/26), including:?

  • Year 2 Semester 1 and year-long modules?
  • Year 3, 4 and 5 modules?
  • All postgraduate modules?

This means, all teaching modules will be on Ultra Platform from Monday 29 September 2025.??

Support and resources?

Sign up to a training session via the Staff Development Programme to develop your knowledge of Ultra and build skills.??

  • New training sessions are now available, including updated module course structures, content rollover guidance, and more – with more to be added as we continue through this process?

You also have access to our range of resources to cater for your teaching needs. For support with online reading lists, please contact the Library Reading List team.
