The state-of-the-art branch campus is the first of its kind in India and a proud part of the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 – a founding member of the UK’s prestigious Russell Group, celebrated for its research and academic excellence.
The University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 became the first international institution to be granted a licence by India’s Universities Grants Commission to set up a campus as part of the country’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to create world-class, work-ready, graduates.
India’s top Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, celebrated the opportunities that the new University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 Delhi will bring to Indian students at a ceremony held to open the new campus.
The campus launch marks a pivotal step in advancing transnational education in India and recognises the exceptional academic potential of Indian students and the country’s emergence as a global leader in research, innovation, and enterprise.
Department for Business and Trade Minister Douglas Alexander said: “It’s testament to the prestige of the UK’s first-class higher education institutions that we have become the first country to open an international campus in India.
“The University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载’s Delhi campus will help set the standard for universities worldwide and this comes as we prepare to sign our landmark trade deal with India which will drive exports, increase wages, and deliver economic growth for the UK under our Plan for Change.”

Initial undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes will be in Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, and International Management, with the first cohort of around 150 students taking up their places in August.
By 2035, the University plans to welcome up to 5,000 students every year. This will further reinforce India’s emergence as a hub for high-quality higher education while deepening the UK–India strategic partnership in knowledge and innovation.
The University has delivered its state-of-the-art campus in Gurugram, Haryana, alongside partners including Oxford International Education Group (OIEG). The location is close to influential businesses and features excellent facilities, including a student hub, library and IT laboratories.
Students at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 Delhi will also benefit from links to some of the country’s most influential and leading firms, including Deloitte India, Comviva and Investec, with internships and graduate placement schemes in place.
