About

George Callender is a lecturer in the Electric Power Engineering (EPE) group at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载. He received his Masters degree in Natural Sciences (1st, Hons) in 2013 from the University of Durham, following which he completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 in 2018. Following his PhD he worked as a research fellow in the EPE group at BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载, and was promoted to lecturer in 2021. He is a member of IEEE.

He has a strong involvement with industry funded research projects covering a range of high voltage systems. His specialism is in numerical simulation techniques to determine electrical, thermal, and mechanical performance. He has successfully  supervised two MSc students and a PhD student. He is the co-supervisor of a PhD student and the line manager of a research fellow.
