The Containment level 3 suite is a specialist facility at the University designed for handling dangerous human pathogens. Laboratories can safely work with airborne or blood-borne infections. Recent research focus has been BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载, tuberculosis infection and prion disease.
The facility has three separate laboratories, providing increased agility in our ability to pivot research activities towards a diverse array of pathogens that include viruses, bacteria and prions.
Each laboratory has two microbiological safety cabinets, an autoclave, tissue culture incubators, fridge, freezer at minus 80 as well as specialist equipment specific to the laboratory workflow.
All rooms are under negative pressure and sealable for fumigation.
