Dr Yikun Wang is a?Visiting Academic within the Maritime Engineering Group at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载. She is also working part time in Lloyd's Register Global Technology Centre as an Industrial Fellow. She is also an invited member of the International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress Committee III.1 Ultimate Strength for the 2018 – 2022 period.
Yikun obtained her BSc degree in Dalian University of Technology, China, in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering. She then undertook her MSc studies in the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 and obtained a degree with Distinction in Maritime Engineering Science/Naval Architecture. Subsequently she carried out her PhD research based at the National Centre for Advanced Tribology at BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 and Fluid Structural Interactions Research Group in the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载. Yikun started her academic career as a Research Fellow and then a Senior Research Fellow at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载, with a research focus on life cycle and material degradations of marine structures.
